Number Two |
| |
While it is true that I am two weeks old this
week, the title of this entry is a little deceiving. I have learned
something new this week…I have learned that I am full of sh*t. Yup, I am…and
I am trying to come to terms with it. In one end and out the other! I would
say that I spend the better part of the day trying to embrace number two. It
seems to happen anytime, no matter where I am or what I am doing. Mom and I
took a little road trip to visit dad’s coworkers at the office and off
course they all looked at me in amazement (I get that a lot). Everyone was
very nice, but right in the middle of meeting everyone, the wave of number
two hit. I looked a mom and dad for support and I tried to hold it, but my
body has more control of number two right now than I do! So…I just went for
it…red faced and grunting…I went about my business. Very soon after,
everyone dispersed. I guess I couldn’t blame them…things got a little
stinky. Dad tells me that when I get a little older it will be a little more
mindful of doing number two with others around.

Grandma and Grandpa Polhamus
(and me) |
Well, enough about number two…Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Cassie, left to go
back to Seattle this week. I am going to miss them all very much. I can’t
wait until Christmas when I get to see them again. Of course, Uncle Jesse is
staying with us for a while and sometimes he holds me too…but he seems a
little scared of me…I guess it could be the number two. I was very happy
that everyone was able to visit me in my first week of life.
This past weekend we drove to Forest Highlands. Forest Highlands is a
community right outside of Flagstaff AZ. Mom and dad’s friends Phil and
Kathy invited us to visit...they own a cabin there. Phil and Kathy have
three kids that are a little older than me. Chloe just turned 5, Phillip
just turned 4, and Gracie is almost 3. They were all really nice to me. They
played a lot and things got a little crazy at times as you might expect with
three young kids. Chloe and Philip can ride two wheelers without training
wheels. Gracie is just starting to ride her bike with training wheels and
dad helped her out. She is still a little scared, but after a while she was
doing great! I had to sit in my stroller and watch all the fun, but I guess
I will be riding a bike soon enough. I actually have one already that
Grandma and Grandpa Polhamus bought for me. I can’t wait to ride it, but I
think I have to get a little better at holding my head up first. Man…that
sucker is heavy…it must be all the brains. I think the highlight of the trip
was when we went to get pizza. Phillip and Gracie wore more pizza then they
ate! I hope to see them again soon. |
Well…other than that, my Jaundice is gone and I am feeling great! Mom and
Dad say that I am sleeping well through the night too. Most nights I only
wake up once to eat. Now if I could just get this number two thing under
control…life would be perfect!
